Position Description: Group Food & Beverage Director

The ideal candidate will have full responsibility for the management & organization of all operations of the catering departments of the hotel units, in accordance with the operational standards of the group as well as the monitoring & achievement of the goals set based on budget for each hotel unit.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Organization & preparation and supervision of the operation of the food departments per hotel unit according to the operational standards.
  • Determination of human resources needs and participation in the preparation of budgets per hotel unit.
  • Participation in the process of finding, training & evaluating executives as well as staff of food & beverage departments.
  • Manage all food and beverage operations and day-to-day operations in accordance with budget.
  • Direct and close collaboration with Group Executive Chef & F&B Group Purchasing Manager on menu planning, costing, supplier selection and raw materials.
  • Group supervision and guidance of the food sector in matters of HACCP & ISO’s
  • Group supervision and monitoring of the invoicing software of the food departments.
  • Monitoring of individual K.P.I’s and schedules
  • Monitor work schedules and payroll costs according to budget.
  • Oversee fixed equipment inventories and determine new needs.
  • Reporting to senior management on the results and day-to-day operations of the food departments at a group level.

  • Ability to delegate multiple & simultaneous tasks.
  • Ability to manage executives and achieve financial goals.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Broadened perception and thinking in matters related to the food and beverage departments

Candidates must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or food Technology from a reputable institution
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Very good knowledge of the English language at the written and oral level. Knowledge of a second foreign language will be considered an additional qualification.
  • Update on current food and beverage industry trends and best practices.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Possibility of frequent transportations
